Who we are

Sunna Al-Amal organization is one of the Palestinian human rights organizations. A developmental, non-governmental organization that is committed to strengthening and improving the quality of mental, social and developmental health services provided to our Palestinian people and marginalized communities.

Through the approach of empowerment together with policy advocacy, aims to create motivation and an environment for these potentials to be realized in favor of positive goals.


Philosophy:

Is to enhance human well-being and help meet basic and complex needs of all people, with a particular focus on those who are vulnerable, oppressed, and living in poverty, and help those groups find hope, dignity, and serenity to gain their confidence back in society and humanity. Sunna al Amal deeply believes that each individual and community has great hidden potential, which can be used not only to tackle their own but also to contribute to the development of the society.

To develop and empower to enhance the quality of life through improved psychosocial well-being and the ability of vulnerable and disadvantaged populations to integrate into society through awareness, education, training, research and advocacy to cope properly with current and upcoming challenges.

Strategic Plan

We invite you the 2018-2020 strategic plan that was adopted by our Board of Directors on November 2017. Members of General Assembly, Board of Directors, Representatives of Local Partners, and organization’s staff were involved and engaged in the discussion providing input for the strategic plan. 
This plan is implemented as a guide to assist us in providing affected Palestinian individuals with effective programs, services and support based on their needs, through engaging stakeholders and the entire community

Our Goals

  •   To build the capacity of rights holders, marginalized communities, civil society and community-based organizations in order to act collectively and create holistic strategies for improving mental health and psychosocial well-being in Palestine.
  •   To influence Palestinian duty bearers to facilitate access to services for marginalized groups that suffer from social, psychological and mental problems.
